Regulation on requirements and criteria that must be met in order to operate as travel agencies

The Council of Ministers adopted a regulation (no. 709, dated 12.10.2016 ”On requirements and criteria to operate as a travel agency”), which sets out the criteria and requirements that must be met by any individual/legal entity and venture that operates through electronic platforms in order to be licensed to exercise the activity of travel agency in the Republic of Albania.

The Regulation contains provisions on the representation of the travel agency and the rules of conduct related to the reservation system (CRS), a computer system that contains information on schedules, vacancies and prices of more than one flight company, with or without facilities in order to make reservations or buy flight tickets, to the extent that these services are made available to customers by flight companies.
