Approval of the national strategy for gender equality and action plan 2016-2020

The Council of Ministers agreed with decision no. 733, dated 20.10.2016 to approve the third strategy of this kind in the Republic of Albania, which relies on objectives of the program of the Government of Albania for gender equality and combating gender-based violence and domestic violence, the national legal framework, as well international obligations arising from international conventions and agreements ratified in this area, paying particular attention to ensuring compliance with EU policies within the process of integration.
