Regulation on the conditions, requirements, fees, terms and procedure for the classification of accommodation facilities

By decision no. 730, dated 20.10.2016, the Council of Ministers adopted a regulation ( ”On the conditions, requirements, fees, terms and procedure for classification of accommodation facilities ”) which states:
1- The conditions and criteria for the classification of accommodation facilities;
2- The procedures, deadlines and administrative structures responsible for the classification of accommodation facilities;
3- Fees for the application and costs of verification in order to obtain a certificate of classification for each category of accommodation facilities.
With the abrogation made by this DCM to the former regulation of 2003, this regulation is the only legal act concerning this matter.
To start with, the regulation contains provisions that determine the categories of accommodation facilities and specific provisions on the process of classification of the accommodation facilities carried out by the Commission after fullfilment of the criteria and implementation of procedures set out in this regulation and provisions.
The following chapters III and IV deal respectively with the procedure for obtaining a certificate where the category of an accommodation structure is stated and the renewal, amendment or revocation of this certificate.
Finally, the Regulation determines the fees that must be paid by the applicant for the classification, reclassification or renewal of the assessment made to the accomodation structure.These fees are specified in the table attached.
In the first Annex of the decision can be found the conditions and criteria of classification for each category of accommodation facilities such as hospice, dormitories, camping, hotel, motel, resort, curative center, bed and breakfast.
Annex No. 2 contains a model of the certificate of classification.
