Approval of some changes made to regulation “On the sufficiency of capital report”

The Supervising Council of the Bank of Albania by decision nr.5, on 1.2.2017, approved some changes made to regulation “On the sufficiency of capital report”.

In accordance to this decision, changes are made to article 6 by defining that the Banks count on weighted exposures on risk, as a sum of exposures and possible exposures, weighted by the risk of loan and the risk of counterparty loan; demand on capital regarding the risk of the market and  demand on the capital on operational risk.

Regardless the definition by the paragraph of this article, the bank adds to the total of acts and reports out of the weighted balance sheet with risk, the positive value which results from the increase of classes on acts of balance sheet “actions on depository and interbank transactions” and “actions on holding devisors” with nonresidents of the reporting period compared to the same period two years ago, after it is discounted only the added value of liabilities on nonresidents in devisors of the same classes of the reporting period, compared to the same period of two years ago. Calculations regarding the definitions mentioned above will be made according to form no.1, annex 8.

Finally, the Supervision Department and the Financial Statistics Department will pursue the implementation of the decision.
