Directive on the documentation of license application and inspection procedures, suspension and / or revocation of license to exercise the activity of travel agency and touristic operator

On 11.1.2017, the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship issued directive no. 179 through which establishes procedures regarding the receipt, inspection, suspension and revocation of the license to exercise the activity of travel agency and touristic operator.
Under this directive, in order to exercise the activity of travel agency and that of touristic operator, subjects must be equipped with a license which is obtained by an individual or legal person if they submit to the National Business Center (QKB) the required documentation under Chapter 1 of the directive.
The second chapter of this directive deals with inspections, carried out by the inspectorate responsible for tourism, which consist in checking the implementation of criteria and licensing conditions and exercise of activities, license suspension cases, as well as cases where the inspectorate decides to revoke the license to exercise the activity in the field of tourism.
For the implementation of this directive, the Minister delegates competence to the General Directorate of Tourism Development, the National Business Center and the Inspectorate.
